An Example Week
This is an example of how the week could run. Days and events can switch around, and everything on the water depends on the weather. Your skippers make the call on the day.
DAY 1 · ATHENS
- Afternoon Check In Alimos Port, from 5pm
- Evening Deck the Yacht Your boat
- Evening Icebreakers and Marina Drinks 9pm
Check in at Alimos Port from 5pm. Hop aboard, meet your crew for the week and deck out your boat with your new squad. Tonight we're running icebreakers and games so everyone starts getting to know each other, then drinks by the seafront. Hosts are around all week, in person or on WhatsApp.
Fly in a day early for Day 0, an optional social night in Athens that we coordinate, and a chance to see the city before we sail.
DAY 2 · AGIA MARINA
- Morning Set Sail First sail as a convoy
- Afternoon Beach Games Beach games and water volleyball
- Evening Late Bar First night out together
Out of the marina and into open water. 10+ yachts sailing in convoy across the Saronic Gulf, everyone out on deck topping up the tan. First swim stop on the way. We moor up in Agia Marina for beach games and water volleyball, then hit the late bar for our first proper night out as a squad.
DAY 3 · PERDIKA
- Morning Scenic Sailing A short hop round Aegina
- Afternoon Swim Stops Snorkel and float meet ups
- Evening Sail Squad Bingo Greek Gods and Goddesses
A short sail round Aegina, so today is slow. Anchor in a bay, lunch on deck, jump off the back of the boat. Snorkel, float, repeat. Perdika is a small fishing harbour with tavernas along the water. Tonight it's our famous TTS bingo, so dig out your best Greek God and Goddess outfits and battle it out for prizes. The music keeps going after.
DAY 4 · ERMIONI
- Morning Rope Swings Plus sailing crucifixions
- Afternoon Exploration Old Town and gyros
- Evening Mamma Mia Night Local bar takeover
A longer sail down the coast to Ermioni. Test out the rope swings on the way and team up with the other boats for sailing crucifixions. In Ermioni, wander the Old Town and grab a gyros. Tonight's theme is Mamma Mia, so bring the floral shirts, flares and dance moves as we take over the local bars.
DAY 5 · DOKOS

- Afternoon Circle Party Weather dependent
- Evening Raft Party Dokos Bay
No town tonight. We anchor in the bay at Dokos. Coffee on deck, then as long as the sea plays nice, we set up the Circle Party. A big group of boats together with the party in the middle, so bring your floaties. Tonight is the Raft Party. We tie all the boats together in a line and stay out at sea for the night, under the stars. Stock up on supplies before we leave.
DAY 6 · POROS
- Morning Wacky Water Races It's going to get wacky
- Afternoon Optional Extras Water sports and quad bike tours, extra cost
- Evening White Party Club takeover
Wacky water races at a swim stop on the way. Then into Poros, a harbour town built up the side of a hill. Explore, grab a gyros, or try the optional water sports and quad bike tours at an extra cost. Tonight it's all white for the White Party, our big send off.
DAY 7 · ATHENS
- Morning Last Sail Final tan, swap socials
- Afternoon Check Out Athens, around 6pm
- Evening Farewell Party Optional, 10pm
A slow last sail. Get that final tan in and swap socials with your crew. Back in Athens mid afternoon, with check out around 6pm. There's an optional farewell night out in the city if you want to join us, you'll need to sort your own place to stay that night. Heading straight to the airport is totally fine too.

Catamarans are subject to booking numbers. Each catamaran price is based on 8 paid passengers. If we're below the minimum needed for a catamaran to go ahead, we'll contact you directly to offer a price adjustment or a move to a different boat.

The Details
Fly into Athens. Check in is at Alimos Port from 5pm on Saturday 26 June. Check out is around 6pm on Friday 2 July, back at Alimos.
You'll pay a refundable £75 boat damage deposit with your final instalment, or upfront if you pay in full. It's held to cover any damage to the boat during the week.
As long as nothing is damaged and the boat is left in good condition, the deposit is fully refunded after the trip.
To get your refund, just email us after the trip with your booking reference and we'll process it by bank transfer.
If damage is reported or the boat isn't left in an acceptable condition, part or all of the deposit may be withheld.

What is The Travel Squad?
We're a travel community that builds group trips for people who want to meet new people. Strangers book on their own, travel together, and go home with a group chat full of people they'll travel with again. That's the whole idea. Five years, thousands of travellers, and most of them came on their own the first time.
How does the ticket drop work?
Everyone joins the group chat before launch. When the countdown hits zero the booking link drops in there, first come first served. These sell out on launch day, so be ready.
Once you've booked you'll get a confirmation email with an invite to the confirmed group chat. That's where you meet everyone, swap socials and sort rooms and transfers in the months before you go. You'll also get a link in there to add on extras whenever you're ready.
What are the boats like inside?
Each boat has cabins where you sleep, a lounge, a kitchen, a dining area, deck space and a bathroom. Boats sleep 6, 8 or 10 people, plus your skipper, across 3, 4 or 5 double or twin cabins.
Every yacht has an onboard sound system, a lounge where your skipper sleeps, a kitchen with a fridge, gas hobs and a full set of cooking utensils, an outside social and dining area, a swimming platform, and heaps of deck space for sunbathing.
You can upgrade for just £100 extra. Upgraded boats are newer, with guaranteed aircon, more space, more sunbathing areas and more spacious cabins. The boats are usually from 2012 to 2017.
Please be aware, you can only share a boat with people who have chosen the same boat standard.
Are flights included?
No. Fly into Athens, the week starts and finishes there. Members fly in from all over, so we leave flights to you.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, travel insurance is mandatory for this trip.
What's the average age?
Our community is 18 to 35, with most people between 24 and 35. Minimum age is 18. We've had plenty of people outside that bracket join and love it.
I'm coming on my own, is that weird?
No, it's not weird at all, this is exactly the point of these trips. Once you're confirmed we'll send you a link to the group chat, so keep an eye out for it, you're not added automatically. From there you'll connect, swap socials and get to know people before heading out. Everyone here is a stranger at some stage of their TTS journey.
Can I book with a friend?
Tickets are limited to 1 person per booking. TTS was built to help solo travellers meet people, so the ticket system isn't designed for groups. Make sure your friend is ready to book at the same time.
Do I need to know how to sail a boat?
No. Every boat has its own skipper sailing you from island to island.
Is food included?
No. Most people do a big shop with their boat and stock up for the week.
What's Day 0?
An optional social night in Athens the day before we sail. We'll coordinate it, but it isn't officially part of the week.
How do boat allocations work?
After the final payment deadline, we'll send out a questionnaire by email and in the confirmed squad. It's your chance to tell us a bit about yourself, so we can match you with the most like minded people we can find and give you the best chance of building your own new squad. You can also request to stay with up to 3 other people if you're booking with people you already know. We'll do our best to accommodate everyone.
How do I make changes to my booking?
Email support@thetravelsquad.com and the team will sort it out.
What happens after I book?
You'll get a confirmation email with everything you need, including the link to your confirmed group chat. That's different from the Ticket Launch chat the buttons on this page point you to, and it's only for people who've booked. It's where most people start chatting, swap socials and make friends in the months before the trip. You'll also get a link in there to add on transfers, lessons and equipment whenever you're ready.
What if I need to cancel?
Your deposit isn't refundable. Beyond that, what you get back depends on how close to the trip you cancel. The full breakdown is in our Booking Terms.
